FREEDOM
RUN 2027
From Messolonghi to Nafplio, the crossing to freedom.
The history · 1826
Run in the footsteps of freedom
On 10 April 1826, after almost a year under siege, the defenders of Messolonghi refused to surrender to the Ottomans. They attempted a heroic breakout, the Exodus, to reach the Greek government in Nafplio.
The survivors marched through Nafpaktia, Doris and the northern Peloponnese. Two centuries later, the Freedom Run invites you to follow their path all the way to the finish.
A sporting challenge. A human adventure. A tribute.
